Big Man Leo Criswell loves the staff

<p>Leo Criswell, a 6-8 senior in the class of 2005, took the time to tell me what he's looking for in college and his feelings toward the Illini.

With everyone trying to get an edge in recruiting, big man Leo Criswell of Kansas City, Kansas is quick to say that he's keeping his eye on Bruce Weber and his Illini. "I love their staff. I talk to them all and I like what they have to say," said Criswell.

Criswell feels the change in his AAU team from Pump and Run to "Rocktown" has really helped his stock rise - as a junior he averaged 18 PPG and 10 rebounds.

"Right now I don't plan to shorten my list of schools because I want them all to know that I will listen to them," explained Criswell.

Criswell has been described as a very athletic player with great all-around skills. There appears to be a theme this summer with the class of 2005, and that's the style of play coaches provide at their respective schools. Criswell is no different. "I watch the Illini play all the time they are fun to watch play. I'm not Brian Cook but I really liked what he did at Illinois. I also like the fact they get up and down the court."

Grades don't appear to be an issue for this young man. He is currently eligible by Division I standards.
