Big man will make visit

<p>Florida native Abdul Herrera knows what schools he likes and which ones will get visits from the 6-10 big man. Herrera took the time to talk with Illiniboard.Com. Read here regarding his future plans.

Abdul Herrera is telling coaches and recruiting gurus right now what he's looking for in a school, and he will not change his tune. "I will go to college where they need a big man and I can play. That's real important to me," said Herrera.

"I really enjoyed Coach Tracy Webster. He came to visit me and did a real good job. They offered me a scholarship and I like that," stated Herrera. The soft spoken big man has a large list of schools, "They call me every day but right now I have three schools that are interested in me the most, and they're Illinois, Ohio St. and Cincinnati."

"Since the hurricanes have been going on down here it's been real hard for me to leave home. I was suppose to visit Illinois last weekend but things changed, so I will try to get up there in the next two weeks," stated Herrera.

"When coach came down he showed me this real good highlight video and I liked what I saw on the tape," added Herrera.

Next month the gentle giant will start to take tests. He plans to take the ACT and the SAT, but feels he should be good to go.
