"He (Coach Matta) just called me about 20 minutes ago, actually," Jackson said. "He said that with the commitment from that big kid in Utah, they had one scholarship left and unless they took a wing, they were going to use that scholarship for the class of 2006."
The Buckeyes, according to Jackson, were leading the way despite having yet to offer a scholarship. He was working to take an official visit to Columbus before Ohio State pulling out.
Jackson will now choose between Illinois, Penn State, and UNLV, but he noted how he prefers to play Big Ten basketball.
