Rog, Coach Weber has talked about you and the way you played during the Duke game last year. The coaching staff feels that you really benefited from that so much. Your thoughts?
Wow, I think it's awesome if the coaches are saying that. Whenever Coach says anything positive I get really excited. I think I will be able to get an early start to my game this year. Towards the end of the season, Kedric, I really understood the offense much better. Also, I really learned how to score in it. I just take it as a compliment from the coaches. That's awesome.
Some players did buy into Weber's system last year. Do you like it now?
Man, I think it's awesome because it gives everyone freedom. To tell you the truth, when he first came here it was hard to get used to it, but now we understand it. Guys have to like this because there are really no set patterns, but once you grasp it and understand it, if you screen you can get an open shot. It's like - wow. Think about it, if you want to score, all you have to do is set a pick and you may be the one with the open shot. It's really easy.
Your thoughts on being #1?
I don't pay any attention to that stuff. It's cool to be ranked that high and that's about it for me. The way I look at it we still have to go out on the court and do it.
What's the one Big Ten school you like to beat more than the others, Roger?
The Big Ten is great. All the teams can play; I like to beat them all. You can't pinpoint one team.
Thanks, Roger, and good luck.
(With a hug) Thanks and may God bless you, Kedric.
