Charles surprisingly said he had a good visit in Happy Valley, "it's a small town and the people there were good to me, they really made my visit really nice." said Jackson.
When Ron Turner's football team takes the field this Saturday Jackson's planes will have landed in Champaign at 11:00 a.m., " I can't wait to get there and meet some of the guys at Illinois, last weekend my host was junior Aaron Johnson, this weekend I'm not sure who it will be." Stated Jackson.
Last weekend in Happy Valley only his mother, Darnita Jackson, made the visit, "this weekend both my parents will be there". There has been rumors that Jackson may take other visits after Illinois, not true, "Illinois will be my last visit, when I get home we will sit down and make a decision", said Jackson.
Jackson said he knows he has some work to do to play in the Big Ten, but also feels he has some good in his game that can help a team win a Big Ten title. "Most coaches when they call me say they love my footwork and how well I move without the ball, right now I have expanded my game, I can go out and hit the 10-15 foot jump-shot" stressed Jackson.
"When I get to college I want to become more explosive and really work on my ball handling, I want to become the complete player," said Jackson. This weekend is a big weekend for head coach Bruce Weber. If you think this staff has thrown in the towel after losing a few kids, your sadly mistaken, they are right in the thick of things with a few big name recruits. Read Illiniboard.Com this week for other potential recruits to be in attendance for the Orange and Blue Scrimmage which will take place Saturday at 4:00 p.m. right after the football team tackle the Iowa Hawkeyes for homecoming.
