Chicago (IL) QB/ATH Justin Anderson (5-11, 195, 4.5, 3 stars) still says Northern Illinois leads slightly over Illinois (visited), Indiana, Wisconsin and Iowa. The Hoosiers, Badgers and Hawkeyes have not offered.
"Northern Illinois is still my leader but they don't really lead by much," says Anderson, from Steinmetz Academic Center. "They have good players that play well together. And I like their offensive system. The coaching staff there is great especially coach (Jim) Novak…he's a cool guy.
"They are recruiting me as QB/HB and I really prefer playing QB. But what position I want to play will have no bearing on my decision really.
"Illinois has a much better balanced offense than Northern Illinois, and some good coaches over there too. I like how they get the ball out to different people and they don't just go to one guy. The plays they run depend on certain situations as well. I also like the facilities there--they are really nice for their players. They are recruiting me as an ATH.
"Indiana, Wisconsin and Iowa have made no indication of making me an offer."
Anderson will officially visit Northern Illinois (12/3) and Illinois (12/13).
