Brown led No. 5/6 Illinois to two victories after averaging 18.5 points per game and shooting 81.3 percent from the field (13-16) last week to earn Player of the Week accolades. The junior guard scored a game-high 17 points in the home opener versus Delaware State, hitting five-of-six shots including a four-of-five effort from three-point range. Brown then added a season-high 20 points against Florida A&M, connecting on eight-of-eight shots in the first half. For the weekend, he finished with an average of 18.5 points and 3.5 assists per game, while posting an impressive 72.7 percent accuracy from beyond the arc (8-11). Brown earns his third Big Ten weekly laurel as he was honored on March 1, 2004 and Dec. 23, 2002.
