Zook Meeting With Bain Today

Bolingbrook, Illinois defensive lineman, Ryan Bain, a Scout.com, U.S. Army, All-American, says he'll choose between Minnesota and Iowa but new Illinois coach Ron Zook and his recruiting coordinator, Reggie Mitchell, will meet with Bain this morning.

Illinois head coach Ron Zook and recruiting coordinator, Reggie Mitchell, will be at Bolingbrook High School first thing this morning for a face-to-face meeting with Bain.

Zook and Mitchell are going to ask Bain to use his 5th official visit with Illinois and they are hoping to get the 6-foot-2, 265-pound, defensive lineman on campus before he heads to San Antonio this weekend.

Zook could also ask Bain to wait until after the All-American game to announce his decision so he could see what the University of Illinois has to offer. However, with Illinois just offering a scholarship, they are in the game extremely late.

Bain will have to be extremely blown away by Zook and Mitchell this morning to consider the Fighting Illini. The previous Illinois staff came into Bolingbrook last May and told Ryan that he wasn't good enough to play at Illinois and Ryan told Scout.com that he hasn't forgotten that.

Bain is a three-year varsity starter at middle linebacker for the Raiders. He led "The Brook" in tackles the past two seasons. Ryan is the #1 ranked heavyweight wrestler in the state of Illinois this year as well.

When Bain finishes his meeting with Ron Zook this morning, we'll post a "Hot News" on the happenings of that meeting.
