Rumors have floated in from everywhere on whether 6-8 forward David Palmer was still committed to Illinois. "Yes. There was some issues. Illinois didn't send me papers to sign, so we both took a week to think about things. I'm keeping my options open but right now I'm going to Illinois," said Palmer.
Palmer admits his grades were an issue, but that is no longer a problem. "I love Illinois. I watch every game they play. They play hard, great defense and they run their offense really well. They're fun to watch play," added Palmer.
Palmer said his teammate Jamont Gordon, a 6-4 point guard and a four star recruit by Scout.Com, also likes the Illini these days. "Jamont told me flat out, the only way he will come to Illinois is if I'm there. He likes them too, but if I'm not there - then no chance," Palmer said.
Palmer added that some other schools have expressed interest in him, but his love right now is the University of Illinois. Stay tuned for this player's update here at Illiniboard.com.
