Bryan Evans will Illinois get a visit?

Bryan Evans is back from the Army All-American Game and it appears as if he's narrowed his list to four. Who still remains in the hunt?

"I like Georgia, Tennessee, Florida State and LSU. I don't have a leader at this time," Bryan Evans said.

At one time many thought the Florida Gators were the team to beat. Why are they not amongst the finalists now?

"I don't really know what happened with Florida. The guy who really got them back in it with me (Former UF Assistant Mike Locksley) is now gone."

The Georgia Bulldogs officially announced former LSU Defensive Back coach Kirby Smart as their new Running Back coach on Sunday afternoon. Evans has said in the past that he maintained a close relationship with Coach Smart while he was a member of Nick Saban's staff at LSU. Will that now improve UGA's standing with Bryan?

"It probably is in their favor. He sent me a text message this weekend telling me he was the coach at Georgia now and I didn't really believe it until I saw it somewhere else. He and Coach Bobo are always joking around."

The Jacksonville star still has two trips remaining.

"I go up to Georgia on the 21st and I'll either go to Illinois or Florida State with my last visit. I haven't decided yet."

How did he enjoy his experience in San Antonio and what is his opinion on some of the players out there?

"Man it was fun. I didn't like dropping that INT though. I would have rather played Safety but Michael Ray Garvin is smaller than I am so I just let him play corner. I liked Pat Turner the most of everyone there, but he didn't get to show what he can do in the game."

Evans appears like he'll be keeping everyone in suspense for a couple more weeks as he doesn't plan to announce his decision until signing day.

As a senior (4-5), Evans intercepted five passes (returned two for TDs). He also returned a punt for a score and was in on 47 tackles, caused a fumble and recovered two. Offensively he rushed for 427 yds and three TDs and had 343 yds receiving for two more TDs. As a junior he rushed for 732 yds and 15 TDs on 66 carries and also caught a TD pass. He also picked off five passes, returning one for a score, and returned four kicks to paydirt. Evans is also a track standout (10.68 100 meter, 21.5 200 meter).

Scouting Report:
Evans has good size, excellent speed and quickness, good vision, balance and great hips. Evans supports the run very well, has a great change of direction, and shows great acceleration. He is also an oustanding kick returner.
