Albert Jackson Likes Three; Likely Will Not Change

A lot has been said about Jackson's feelings toward the Illini loss on Sunday to OSU. Read here for his true feelings and his future plans this summer.

Albert Jackson is a 6-10 center from Hopkins County Central in Earlington, Kentucky. Albert had his season end on Tuesday night but according to Jackson he went out with a bang. "I finished that game with 23 points, 13 rebounds and five blocks. I'm kind of upset that the season is over but we didn't play that great this year," said Jackson

"Sunday when Illinois lost, that didn't sit well with me at all. I was really pulling for them to go 30-0. I'm a very calm person but I was upset when they got beat. I know how hard it was for them to go through the regular season undefeated but they played hard," he added.

For the longest time Jackson's list was just Illinois and Michigan St., but now Xavier has entered the picture. "Xavier is one of my top three schools along with the other two. I have to give them a chance to build a relationship with me just like I did with the Illinois and Michigan State staff."

"I want people to know that I'm very interested in Illinois. They have recruited me very hard. Coach Webster has been here twice to see me practice. He couldn't talk to me, but I know he was there," Jackson said.

"I will be at Illinois sometime this summer for another visit. I hope when I come down they offer me a scholarship, but I don't know. For now I'm just going to watch them play in the tournament."

Getting Jackson would be a major coup for Weber and his boys. This is one player Illinois fans should really keep a close eye on.
