Orange and Blue Continue Spring Practice

Illinois' football team hit the field for the fourth time under head coach Ron Zook Monday afternoon at the practice fields on the east side of Memorial Stadium in a practice that had temperatures reach the upper-70's and its time moved up on the day of the men's basketball championship game.

"I just thought it was something that is big for the University of Illinois, the athletic department, it's big for all Illini and I want them to be a part of it if they have the opportunity," Zook said.

"They're responding and we added another dimension today with the heat, which is good, because you've got the pads, lots of running, you've got heat now, but it's continuing practice and continuing to make them better. It's still early in practice, we're still installing, their heads are still swimming a little bit, but for the most part, we're just trying to get better."

UPCOMING: The Illini will be back on the east practice fields on Wednesday
