Illinois lands commitment #1

The Fighting Illini coaches have hit the road and have been working extremely hard this spring. Ron Zook landed his first verbal commitment of the season today from one of the top interior lineman in the Midwest.

The University of Illinois landed a verbal commitment today from Merrillville Ind., High School offensive lineman Brandon Jordan. This according to Merrillville coach Jeff Yelton.

The 6-foot-4, 290-pound, Jordan, will be ranked among the "Top 100" prospects in the Midwest by and he's one of the "Top 20" prospects in the state of Indiana.

Illini assistant coach Curt Mallory is responsible for the recruitment of Brandon Jordan. Mallory has been one of the hardest working assistant coaches for Illinois and he's been well received by the high school coaches in both Illinois and Indiana. will have comments from Brandon in the near future.
