Florida RB has Big Ten offers

St. Augustine, Fla., athlete, Brandon James, has some Big Ten offers. We caught up with the 5-foot-9, 175-pounder and talked about those offers and his current favorites. James said there's a strong possibility that he could end up leaving the Sunshine State to play his college football.

"I have scholarship offers from Penn State, Illinois and Indiana." Brandon James said.

"My favorites are Penn State, Florida, Illinois, Tennessee, Maryland, LSU and South Carolina."

Brandon James attended the Scout.com Jacksonville combine in April. We asked Brandon if he planned on camping at any schools this summer.

"Right now the answer to that (camps) would be no," James explained. "I just don't feel like I'm going to need a whole lot of camps. I might change my mind though."

Did James have a childhood favorite growing up and what are his chance of playing his football in the Big Ten?

"I really didn't have one school that I liked but I was a big Deion Sanders fan. I could see myself playing in the Big Ten. I'm aware of what Coach Zook did at Florida and I like Coach (Dan) Disch a lot.

"Penn State obviously has the tradition and Joe Paterno. I know Coach Paterno won't be there forever but they have been recruiting me the hardest."

Brandon James is a three-sport athlete that letters in football, track and basketball. He rushed for 900 yards as a junior. Brandon scored 8 rushing touchdowns and had 8 receiving touchdowns as well. He was named all-district.
