"I Will Make a Visit," says Willie Kemp.

The list of point guards continues to grow for Head Coach Bruce Weber. This time it's Willie Kemp, a 2006 point guard out of Bolivar (Tenn.) Central. Get inside for the latest on Kemp.

Willie Kemp, a 6-2 four-star recruit, plans to start making visits for all those colleges that interest him. "I plan to visit Illinois next month," said Kemp. Right now this smooth point guard will not narrow his list of schools, but Illinois is definitely in the mix. "Illinois will be there. I love the staff at Illinois and Coach Tracy Webster has been real nice to me." Other schools that interest Kemp are Kentucky, Arkansas, Memphis and Tennessee.

Like most high school All-Americans, he watched the Illini have an incredible season this year, which is clearly helping when it comes to recruiting nationally. "I watched Illinois play a lot this year. They had a great season - they were undefeated most of the season. I liked how they played; they were fun to watch," Kemp added.

Kemp is from Tennessee but has no problem leaving his home state. Right now Kemp's mother is ill, but she does not want that to be the reason for him picking a college. "She told me to do what is best for me, and wherever I go she will be taken care of so this will not be an issue." Kemp also has an aunt that lives in the state of Illinois so there are some family members in the state. Kemp doesn't talk much to them, but his mother does.

While some schools build on great recruiting classes, the players do most of it themselves. Kemp is paying close attention to who the Illini bring in for the upcoming years and talk will be going around on the AAU circuits. Kemp doesn't know what weekend he will be at Illinois but Illiniboard.com will keep you updated when he plans to make his visit.
