Willie Kemp: "I played well with the team."

Tennessee native had a great visit with Illinois. Willie Kemp talks about his unofficial visit to Illinois yesterday. Read here for details.

Willie Kemp, a 6-2 point guard from Bolivar (Tennessee), took an unofficial visit to Illinois yesterday. Kemp is a four-star recruit from Scout.com.

"I had a really good time down there. I got along well with everyone; it was a good visit," said Kemp. Illinois is one of a few schools (Arkansas, Memphis and Tennessee) that will be vying for Kemp's services.

Kemp was very impressed with the players at Illinois. "James Augustine looked very good. I played pretty good myself; I think everyone liked it."

Also on the visit yesterday with Kemp was 6-10 center Brian Carlwell from Proviso East.

This visit was good for Kemp in many ways because he was able to talk more with Head Coach Bruce Weber and Assistant Coach Tracy Webster. "They are really good guys. I'm not sure when I can go back for an official visit," Kemp added. Stay tuned for more information on the Kemp recruitment here at Illiniboard.com as it heats up this summer.
