Point Guard Willie Kemp Update

Willie Kemp, a 6'2" point guard from Bolivar Central in Memphis, Tennessee, talks about when he plans to pick a college and what he has planned for Illinois.

Willie Kemp is playing this week at the Las Vegas Big Time Camp along with many other high school stars hoping to showcase their skills. One school that remains at the top of Kemp's list is Illinois. "I like Illinois, they will be a factor. I plan to make another visit down there soon, but not sure when at this point. I like the way they play at Illinois, the way the get up and down the floor is the way I like to play," said Kemp.

"I know Coach Weber and Webster are here watching me play, so I know how important these events are. They have offered me a scholarship along with Kentucky," he added.

Kemp has narrowed his list down to about five schools: Illinois, Kentucky, Arkansas, Tennessee and Memphis. He plans to make his decision sometime around this fall.

Right now Kemp is a high priority for Illinois along with Sherron Collins, Derrick Rose, Eric Gordon, and Armon Basssett, to name a few.
