"My scholarship offers are Maryland, Oregon, Duke, Georgia Tech and Louisville." Justin Roper said.
"Those schools along with Tennessee and are my favorites. I don't have a leader. I haven't set up any official visits yet either, at least not concrete. I've spoken with Tennessee and Duke about officials but no dates have been set."
Roper transferred to Buford from the Greater Atlanta Christian School. As a junior, he passed for 1,500 yards and 10 touchdowns. Those numbers were good enough to earn Roper honorable mention all-state honors.
Does Roper no longer have any interest in Illinois?
"Illinois isn't as high on my list as other schools but I'm definitely looking at them." Roper said.
"Coach (Ron) Zook won a lot of ball games at Florida and he runs a quarterback friendly offense.
"Illinois plays in a very good football conference and the academics are also very good. I don't have an offer yet but I hope to hear from Illinois in September."
Justin Roper carries a 3.4 GPA in the classroom and scored 1130 on his SAT test. He doesn't have any plans at this time to graduate early.
