One of the elite point guards in the Class of 2006 is getting ready to hit the road. He won't be going far from home, but he'll be spending time away from Bolivar (Tenn.) Central High in the month of September.
Stuck on six schools, 6-foot-2 point guard Willie Kemp has advanced his list to the point where he's got three visits set up. Arkansas, Tennessee, Kentucky, Florida, Memphis and Illinois are in the chase.
Thus far, Kemp has three officials in place. He'll begin with in-state Tennessee the weekend of Sept. 2 and then head to Fayetteville for a trip with the Hogs the following weekend. Big Blue is next as Kentucky gets the No. 3 slot with a Sept. 23 weekend trek.
"I'm going to officially visit (the rest), I just don't know which other two it'll be right now," Kemp said. "It's tough. The most important thing is to pick the right school and be comfortable around the coaching staff."
Kemp said he'd have a difficult time if he were forced to pick a school right now. "I don't know what would happen. I don't know. It would be a big decision but I don't know if I could do it."
