Chicago offensive lineman Ramone Johnson (6-4, 315, 5.0) remains very open, but says his top five, at least roughly, are Tennessee, USC, Illinois, Minnesota and Nebraska. All have offered, except USC.
"I'm still real open. I don't have a real top five. I'll take my visits after my season, in late December or early January, so I still have a lot of time," said Johnson, from Morgan Park High School.
He doesn't have any visits set yet. "I like Tennessee, but I need to visit them. I haven't been down there, but I like the coaches and their winning tradition. They are known for football and have great fans.
"USC are the national champs and I like California a lot," Johnson said. "I was there this summer and really like it. I love the weather and that it doesn't get really cold. They are just waiting on my ACT score to see if they'll offer."
He is scheduled to take the ACT on September 24.
