Osahon Tongo Enjoys First Visit

Andrew Friedman of Scout.com was able to get an update from Osahon Tongo after his visit to Boston College two weeks ago. See how that visit went, and if there are any other official visits planned for the linebacker from Naperville North High School in this update from IlliniBoard.com & Scout.com.

Osahon Tongo is an inside linebacker for Naperville North. "Schools haven't told me what linebacker spot they like me at and it doesn't matter to me which one I play. I am used to playing on the inside, but would have no problem playing outside."

On the season, he has 80 tackles, six sacks, two fumble recoveries, and one forced fumble. North is 6-2.

Tongo has written offers from Northwestern, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Georgia Tech, Boston College, Stanford, West Virginia, and Duke. "I don't have a top five right now," claims Tongo. "I took my first official visit to Boston College two weeks ago and I really enjoyed it. My parents also liked it. I don't have any other visits scheduled right now and I am not sure which schools I will be visiting, either."

One school that could receive an official is Kansas. Linebackers Coach Dave Doeren is after him for the Jayhawks. "I have spoken with him a few times and he is a real energetic coach. I might take a visit there because he makes it sound like a good place to be."

Tongo says that all the schools recruiting are after him equally as hard.

Naperville North takes on Wheaton North Friday evening.
