Kyle Yelton, a 6-foot-1, 180-pound, kicker, from Chesterton, Ind., is verbally committed to the University of Illinois. Yelton was on his official visit this weekend in Champaign and gave Scout.com the 411.
"Jason Reda hosted me on Friday and then Kyle "White Lightning" Hudson was my host." Kyle Yelton said.
"Jason (Reda) had a prior engagement for Saturday so Kyle (Hudson) ended up hosting me the rest of the weekend. Kyle was very cool, I'm glad I got to know him a little better. He answered a lot of questions for Me.
"There weren't a lot of guys on visits but I got to make some friends. Jerry Brown was real cool, so was Eddie McGee. We all just talked about playing football again and getting back to competing."
Yelton plans on graduating early from Chesterton and he'll be enrolling at Illinois in early January.
