Good News For Illini Fans

Before Isiah Williams' official visit to Champaign this weekend, there had been some talk that he might not end up wearing Orange & Blue. But, after his trip this weekend, there is no doubt in Juice's mind that he wants to play football for the University of Illinois. Read more from Isiah "Juice" Williams in this update from Chris Pool of Scout.com.

Isiah Williams, the No. 1 ranked, quarterback prospect, in the Midwest, according to Scout.com, visited Illinois this past weekend and came away from that visit 200% committed to the Fighting Illini.

"I'm solid now," Williams said. "I'm 100%, no, 200% committed to Illinois. I needed some answers to some academic questions I had and they were all answered to my satisfaction.

"As far as next year is concerned. The coaches told me that I'll get an equal oppurtunity to compete the starting quarterback job and that's all I can ask for.

"My commitment is solid and I'm not going to visit Iowa this coming weekend."

Williams passed for 1,841 touchdowns and 22 touchdowns. He rushed for 1,241 yards.

Williams is the key piece of the puzzle for Ron Zook. With Williams now in place, the rest of the puzzle will begin to fall in place for the Fighting Illini.
