E'Twaun Moore, a 6'-3", 170-pound guard from East Chicago, IN, is a recruitment who has picked up a lot recently. And the Fighting Illini are in the mix. "Illinois has offered me a scholarship. But at this time, I'm just not decided on anything yet. The other two schools that interest me are Tennessee and Purdue," said Moore.
Moore really follows the recruiting game very closely. "I know Illinois has Eric Gordon coming in and we talk from time to time. When I pick a college, I want to make sure I'm going to play wherever I go."
Most have stated that last year's Final Four run could pay dividends for head Coach Bruce Weber, because Moore really liked how Weber allowed his guards to play. "Oh yeah, Coach Weber allows his guards to play and I like how they run at Illinois."
You often wonder, who does the "recruiting" for your team of choice? Right now it's assistant coach Jay Price and Tracey Webster making the effort to land Moore. "I talk with all three coaches. I like them all, but I probably talk to Coach Price the most."
Moore has yet to visit Illinois, but hopes to make a trip sometime soon. As of right now, nothing is set up.
Wherever Moore attends college, it's winning that is very important to him and the Illini have had great success with that. This past season, Moore averaged 24.5 ppg and 5 assists a game. This summer, according to Moore, he plans to improve and work on his game.
