Big Moe Narrows List

Moe Dampeer, a 6-foot-4, 280-pound, defensive tackle from Decatur, Illinois has narrowed his list and he names his favorites. Is Illinois still the team to beat?

Moe Dampeer, a 6-foot-4, 280-pound, defensive lineman from Decatur (Ill.) MacArthur has more than 30 scholarship offers. Big Moe told us today that he has narrowed his school choices down to 10 schools.

"I sat down with my coach and we narrowed it down to UCLA, Illinois, Tennessee, Nebraska, Miami, Purdue, North Carolina, Notre Dame, Oklahoma and Florida State." Dampeer said.

"UCLA, Tennessee, Illinois, Miami (Fla.) and Nebraska are probably the five schools I like the most right now in no particular order.

"I'm going to take my time and make the right decision. I'm definitely going to visit UCLA. I spoke with (head) coach (Bob) Toledo and coach (R. Todd) Littlejohn and I'm excited about visiting UCLA."

Dampeer is the #2 ranked defensive tackle in the nation. It's no secret that Illinois is the team to beat but the Illini will have their work cut of for them as schools will send their ace recruiters after Dampeer.

Randy Shannon (Miami), Jeff Jamrog (Nebraska), R. Todd Littlejohn (UCLA) and Mike Berry (Tennessee) are all excellent recruiters.

Dampeer says his summer has been very quiet and he's actually recovering from a broken foot he suffered during a summer basketball game. Moe says he's in a walking boot and that will be removed in two weeks.
