Brad Bower, a 6-foot-2, 185-pound, quarterback from Hinsdale (Ill.) Central has made his verbal commitment. Bower had narrowed his choices down to Northwestern, Illinois and Purdue.
"I committed to Illinois." Bower said. "I just felt that Illinois was a good fit for me. I love everything about the place plus the offense suits my game.
Bower said last week that he wanted to call the head coaches of his final three choices before making his decisions. Did he get his questions answered?
"Actually, coach (Randy) Walker wasn't in the office and I couldn't get in touch with coach (Mark) Hagan at Purdue either. I wanted to get in touch with both coach Walker and coach Hagan, they were both very good to me."
Bower will be a three-year varsity starter for the Red Devils. He's a solid quarterback with a bright future. Excellent get for the Fighting Illini.
