Michigan Guard Darquavis Tucker Enjoys Visit

This past weekend Illinois Head Coach Bruce Weber brought a few nice potential athletes to the University of Illinois for unofficial visits. One of the star student athletes that made the trip was Darquavis Tucker from Arthur Hill H.S. in Michigan. Read here for the latest.

Darquavis Tucker didn't get the chance to play basketball with the team because he arrived in town too late on Saturday. "I just didn't work out, but I really enjoyed my visit. Dee Brown was on campus so I did see him around the campus. It was a good time. My host was Jamar Smith, and he was pretty cool," Tucker said.

Tucker is a 2007 recruit who will not draw this process out too much longer. "I plan to decide on a college sometime in November if things work out." In an earlier interview by HoosierNation.com Tucker stated he planned to decide sometime in September.

Tucker is a 6-5 athletic wing or shooting guard that averaged 25 ppg last season and currently is a four-star recruit and listed as the ninth best SF in the class of 2007.

What most really wanted to know when Tucker left Illinois is which schools have peaked his interest and in no order he listed: Indiana, Miami (FL), Illinois and Louisville.

"If things work out I plan to come back down there for a visit. I'm not sure when that will be though," Tucker said.

With all the recent visits, Tucker has gotten the full court press from some of the nation's top schools. Now it's up to him to decide where he plans to play his collegiate basketball.

Scout.com profile: Serious athlete with rise and big time hops. Will go get it off the glass and he plays with a certain toughness in his game. Solid body, developing skill package and a wing with a presence. Capable of getting you 25 against good competition.
