Lewis Jackson Update

The Orange and Blue scrimmage in Champaign, IL will have some of the state's best high school players in attendance. Read here for more on Jackson's visit to Illinois.

We all know by now that All American guard Derrick Rose plans to visit Bruce Weber and company but also in attendance will be Lewis Jackson, a 5-9 PG from Decatur, IL. Illiniboard.com caught up with Jackson for a brief update on his latest visit to Illinois.

"I'm going back down there again. I'm going to wait a little later before I decide on a school. I'll be at Illinois on Friday, and Saturday I'm going to visit Indiana. Coach Weber was upfront with me about my scholarship situation, at first I didn't have one but now I do. He was fair and honest with me, he wasn't going to recruit me and then it didn't work out for me and I can respect that. I like that Derrick Rose is coming down tomorrow and all of this could play a part in where I go to school." said Lewis.

Just like most, Jackson was surprised by Rose deciding to make another visit to Illinois, but understands it's a good school with great coaches.

According to Jackson he will wait until spring to see how things play out. It's early but he has Big Ten offers from Illinois, Iowa and Indiana.
