Dante Anderson is a guard that is skyrocketing up the recruiting charts this spring. He's a top 60 recruit here at Scout.com and may climb even higher before the summer ends.
Anderson is a 2008 recruit that many suitors are starting to notice more. He has received a number of offers from some big time programs recently, but Illinois is in the mix. "I like Illinois. If I had to put together a list of school right now, Illinois definitely makes my top three list of schools. I just spoke with Coach Tracy Webster on Saturday. It was a great conversation, but it's the only time this month I can talk to him because they're only allowed one call per month," said Anderson.
Reports on Anderson say he's a kid that can score at will and gets better each time out. He's a big 6-4 guard that can play both the one and two positions on the floor. Coach Weber's teams play well when there's a nice mixture of guards that can all shoot or handle the basketball.
What's up next for Anderson? "This weekend I will probably take off from the AAU tournaments. We're having a benefit game for a coach that used to be involved with our program, so I will just stay home more than likely and play in that."
The Missouri Tigers is a team that's really making a strong push for his services. At this point I think it's safe to say the Tigers would make Anderson's top three schools.
"Whatever school I go to, I just want the chance to play. I think I can help teams right away my freshman year, so that will play a lot into my decision," said Anderson.
