Latest to Offer D.J. Richardson

D.J. Richardson's stock keeps rising week after week. Last night InsideIllini.com spoke with Richardson and got the name of the latest college to offer him. This weekend will be a busy one for the star. Read more here at InsideIllini.com.

D.J. Richardson already has scholarship offers from Illinois, Indiana, Baylor and Bradley. Now the Notre Dame Fighting Irish has joined the list of schools. "Did I tell you that Notre Dame has offered me? They were sending me stuff, but now they have. I've been getting a lot of stuff now from Georgetown too," said Richardson

Things are changing a little for Richardson. The last time we spoke with him he wasn't really going to make any unofficial visits, but that may change. "My assistant AAU coach talked to me about taking some visits; not too far, but ones I can drive to. I've been to Bradley because that's not too far from my house, and I've taken one to DePaul. I've played at Illinois before too. I'm not sure which ones I'm going to visit," he added.

This weekend is the Illinois Stars Classic which will be held in Peoria, Illinois. Richardson's team, the Illinois Stars, plays at 2:40 p.m. against the Chicago Express. "This weekend will be pretty busy because we're having our own tournament. We have some really good teams coming down for it, from different states and everything. But I can only play on Saturday because Sunday I'm going to Illinois to play," stated Richardson.

The most recent contact Richardson has had with the Illini staff was a few day ago. He tried to contact Assistant Coach Wayne McClain on the phone. "Coach McClain is the coach I deal with the most down there. We talk from time to time. He's from Peoria so that's the contact I have. I know Coach Webster, but I don't talk with him much," said Richardson.

D.J. is a 6-4 combo guard from Peoria (IL) and is currently ranked here at Scout.com as a four-star recruit. This weekend InsideIllini.com will be there to watch Richardson play and will have an update on his game along with other tournament results.
