Minnesota Linbacker Names Favorites

Hard hitting Minnesota linebacker Tom Busch was contacted by Illinois in the spring. Busch talks about which schools have been in contact in the fall. Are the Illini still among Busch's favorites?

"The game (Iowa State vs Iowa) was great." Said linebacker Tom Busch.

"We almost got their too late. I couldn't believe all the people. It was a great atmosphere at Iowa.

"I was able to speak with the Iowa coaches before I left on Sunday morning and Iowa is definitely one of my favorites.

"I'm also looking at Minnesota, Iowa State, Kansas State and California.

"I don't have any official visits set up yet. I'm going to focus on my senior season and take care of visits when we're done.

"I really don't have a leader. I like certain things about each school that's recruiting me. I should have a better feel for everything once I get on my official visits."

Busch, a 5-foot-11, 230-pounder, from Cottage Grove (MN) Park Senior was named all-state as a junior.

Busch made 150 tackles and had three sacks in 2001.

All favorites have offered a scholarship except Kansas State.
