Delwan Graham is a 6-5 combo-forward who's currently ranked as the 31st best at his position in the Class of 2008 and a three-star recruit. Graham's stock is soaring at this point of the summer. How does he know? "Illinois did come see me play this weekend. Coach Tracy Webster was there. Illinois is still making a pretty good push with me. They haven't offered me yet, but I can tell it's coming," said Graham.
Graham admits his play this summer has been good to this point, but doesn't like to boast on numbers. "I had a pretty good weekend. My team (Atlanta Celtics) was in the Championship game but we lost to a California team. I didn't see what my numbers were but I did pretty good, I think," Graham added.
There is a list of suitors for Graham's services: Florida, Tennessee, Georgia Tech, LSU, Dayton, Wichita State and Illinois. Graham doesn't list a favorite at this point from any of the schools on his list. However Dayton, Wichita State and LSU have put offers on the table for him.
Like most top recruits, Head Coach Bruce Weber will at some point try to get Graham to make a visit to Champaign.
Scout.com profile on Graham: One of the top athletes in his class, especially when it comes to leaping and running in transition. Powerful kid who would excel in up and down style.
"I'm going to be interested in Illinois because of Coach Webster and I like the way they play. But I'm going to continue to play and work on my game. I have a couple more tournaments to play in this summer; I still have a lot of time with a lot of schools," Graham stated.
We will have an update once Graham makes his visit to the University of Illinois.
