Josh Crittle is listed here at Scout.com as the nation's 21st ranked center in the class of 2008. Crittle is from Chicago (IL) Hales Franciscan and stands 6-8 and 215 pounds.
Crittle has been on the Illini's radar for quite sometime now so they know all about his game and what he brings to the table. "I'm still in Vegas. This is the main event tournament and we're about to go play in an hour. Yesterday Coach Weber and Jay Price came to watch me play. I'm playing pretty well; I'm doing what I need to do. I've been rebounding and everything," Crittle said. "I don't know what more I can do really."
"Illinois hasn't offered me a scholarship. I'm just going to go out and keep working. The schools that I like are Marquette, Indiana, Illinois, Virginia Tech, Iowa and Oregon. All of those schools have offered me except Oregon and Illinois," the Chicago native said.
What appears to be important to Crittle is to keep playing well this week and to work on his game this upcoming school year. "I'm just going to keep playing hard and see what happens, but it's nice to have a lot of schools interested in me right now."
Here at InsideIllini.com we'll be contacting Crittle again to find out what schools lead for his services.
