Brandon Moore is a 6'8" power forward from Holy Cross High School in New Orleans (LA). He's listed here at Scout.com as the nation's 37th best at his position. Illinois has been recruiting Moore for sometime now and here's what he had to say about the Illini. "Illinois is a great school. It has a lot to offer and they have a great tradition at their school. They have offered me a scholarship."
Like most high profile athletes, Moore has one goal and that's to play in the NBA. "I want to go to a school where I know a coach can help me get to the NBA. I'm not saying I'm going to Illinois, but I know Coach Weber has done a great job with Deron Williams, Luther Head and Dee Brown. That's important to me - that a coach has the skills to help me improve my game like that," said Moore.
Moore is 6-8 and plays the three position in high school but in college he would like to be more versatile. "I can see myself playing the three and the four in college. I know I can do both. I just want to play; it doesn't matter what conference I play in, I just want to play. My high school coach is doing most of the work with my recruiting. He's the one talking to Coach Webster. Pretty soon I'm going to narrow my list down. Right now I like Ole Miss, Missouri, Arkansas, Illinois, Marquette and Wichita State," Moore stated.
"I haven't set up any visits yet but I'm going to sit down with my high school coach and get that taken care of. I've never been to Illinois for a visit but again, we're going to see how this all plays out," Moore said.
Once Moore gives us his list of schools he plans to attend we'll update you with that as soon as it becomes news.
