Mario Little will be a sophomore for the Chipola Indians in Marianna, Florida he's a 6-5 wingman who is originally from Chicago Washington High School.
InsideIllini.com put a call into Mario to confirm his visit in Champaign but Mario wasn't available for comment.
Coach Heiar was more than willing to give his opinion of his future star player in the making. "Mario is a kid that can score in several different ways, once he starts to trust his jump shot the skies the limit for him. He can shoot it but once he's gains more confidence it was take his game to another level," said Heiar.
"I wish I could confirm that he's visiting Illinois today but I can't, I've been out of the office all day, I checked my messages and three calls on my machine were from the Illinois coaches, so I don't know if he's there or not. We start school on Monday he will be back in time for that I know," Heiar added.
Back to his game, "Mario is such a great athlete, he can play the two, three and four position but he's really a natural two. He has a tremendous basketball IQ, a great student of the game and a great teammate; all those things are good qualities in a young man. We're expecting great things from Mario this season," said Heiar.
Last season the Indians finished the season with a (33-3) overall record and (10-2) in the conference.
