Illini Football Featured in Greatest Games

CHAMAPAIGN, Ill. — The University of Illinois' epic contest vs. Penn State in 1994 will be featured on Tuesday, Sept. 25 at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT as part of The Big Ten Network's "The Big Ten's Greatest Game" series, as announced by the Network today.

The 8-0 Nittany Lions escaped Champaign with a 35-31 victory despite trailing Illinois by three touchdowns in the first half. The win clinched the first Big Ten title under coach Joe Paterno. Penn State would finish the year with a perfect 12-0 record, a Rose Bowl victory and a national championship.
