Justin Watts Could Get Offer Today

Justin Watts is a senior in high school and it's time to really start to get his future plans in order. Right now colleges are starting to take more of a notice on his skills. Read here to find out if the Illini will be a player with Watts.

Justin Watts is known for putting up big numbers with an average of 22.4 points, 5.2 rebounds and 4 assist per game, but he's getting points from the perimeter, the post and he's very good at creating his own shot. Watt's a 6-5 shooting guard from C E Jordan HS in Durham (NC).

"It's funny you should ask me about Illinois. Coach Weber and Coach Price are coming to watch me play in open gym tomorrow (today) my coach said. I like Coach Weber; he's a good guy and he seems like he cares a lot about his players. But I just want to wait to see how things go because they haven't offered me a scholarship yet. They told my coach they wanted to know if they did if I would commit if they did, but I'm not sure on things yet," said Watts.

Watts has a good list of schools for his services: "Kentucky, Georgia, Louisville and Temple, but last Wednesday I took a visit to North Carolina to see more of the school and it went very well. I liked it," Watts told us.

Watts will inform InsideIllini.com how things went today after the Illinois coaches leave. We will see if an offer gets put on the table and if he took it.

Scout.com profile on Watts: Good looking prospect. Can be a versatile wing player who has great presence on the court. Can be a secondary ballhandler who plays above the rim. Excellent student. Shot looks good and that's an area that can always be reinforced.
