It has been reported all week that TE London Davis will make a change in his commitment. Originally, Davis committed to play for the Missouri Tigers but that has changed for the 6-4, 255 pound Cahokia, IL native. "Missouri just wants me to play DE and I'm not sold on that. They keep recruiting more tight ends so that's a red-flag with me. At Illinois, I will have more of a chance to play that position and get better," said Davis.
"I haven't made anything official yet but I will this weekend. I really liked the coaches at both schools but I just have to do what's best for me and Illinois will be the place I commit to this weekend," added Davis.
Davis is getting full support from his high school coach, Antwan Golliday. "My coach just wants me to play DI football. He supports my decision 100%," Davis said.
Once Davis makes his college choice official, InsideIllini.com will talk with him and give you the story.
