Last time out Illinois lost to Missouri, 52-42 and Eastern Illinois lost to Central Michigan 12-31. The (52-42) Illinois - Missouri score was the highest combined scoring game in school history.

Today's game will end the two year Illinois Renaissance project of Memorial Stadium that cost $160 million dollars in renovation.

This is only the second meeting between Illinois and Eastern, the Illini won the last game two years ago 42-17.

EIU will have to transfers from Ron Zook's team playing in today's game, D'Angelo McCray and Jeff Sobol.

Losing to the Tigers last weekend, Illinois was able to remain in the polls checking in at #24 in AP and #25 in the USA Today poll.

Prediction: Illinois 52 – Eastern Illinois 14.
