Illini Grind Out Win Over Louisiana-Lafayette

Winning sometimes is not pretty, today Illinois beat Louisiana-Lafayette in Memorial Stadium 20-17, in a sluggish win.

Next week the Illinois football team is off, which couldn't come at a better time, today with just 340 total yards managed a win over Louisiana-Lafayette 20-17.

Quarterback Juice Williams went 13-25 on the day for 147 yards, one touchdown and one interception. Williams main target on the day was TE Michael Hoomanawanui with five receptions for 74 yards with a long of 23 yards.

The ground game was led by Illinois' Daniel Dufrene with 126 yards on 19 carries. We'll have more on the game later today here at
