LB Martez Wilson's Thoughts on the Penn State

Martez Wilson met briefly with the media to share his ideas on the game, the crowd, and playing the first Big Ten game of the season. Read here for more on Wilson.

Q:
You have quite the opportunity to start off the Big Ten. What's the edge of the team knowing this will be a national audience game?

A:
"I feel good about a game like this. Both teams are ranked in the Top 25. Last year we beat them at home, this year they will be at home in a nice environment. It's just going to be another big game for us just like the Missouri game."

Q:
What about Penn State's talent?

A:
"They have three talented receivers, a very nice running back, and a quarterback on the rise. They've been a high-powered offense. They average a lot on the offensive end of the field. They score like 52 points a game so watching them we just game plan and just go into practice heavy tilt."

Q:
What do you see in their QB Darryl Clark?

A:
"He can move around the pocket. He's not just a pocket passer; he's really coming along in the passing game. Penn State is averaging 265 yards a game passing the ball. He's young we just have to pressure him and stick to their receivers the best we can."

Q:
Penn State has a good running game this year, how do you prepare for that?

A:
"We prepare for the runs they do more of. During practice we have four or five scout guys give us the best look possible with it. We feel if we see that same play over and over again we should be able to stop the run."

Thanks for your time Martez.
