Junior QB Likes Illinois

One of the top junior quarterbacks in the Big Ten region says he's extremely impressed with the Illinois coaching staff and he'll visit in the summer.

Nick Skeparnias, a 6-foot-2, 195-pound, quarterback from York, Pennsylvania will be a top prospect to watch in 2003.

Skeparnias will be a four-year varsity letter winner in 2003. As a junior, he threw for 2,132 yards and 21 touchdowns. Those numbers were good enough to earn Skeparnias all-state honors.

"I've been receiving hand-written letters from Clemson, Virginia, Northwestern, Penn State, Kansas, North Carolina and Pittsburgh." Skeparnias said.

"My favorites are Penn State, Clemson, Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, Illinois, Rutgers, Temple and Pittsburgh."

What does Skeparnias have planned for the summer?

"I'm going down to Clemson for a visit. After that, I'm going to visit Illinois and Indiana. I'm going to Penn State as well.

"I don't know which camps I'll be attending. Last year, I was invited to and participated in Purdue's elite quarterback camp." Skeparnias said.

We'll have more on Nick Skeparnias in the near future.
