It will be interesting to see how we fill in the blanks for our non conference schedule for this year. At this point we have five really good teams in place. With the addition of Georgetown, we now have 2 games in MSG, the other being Louisville. SMU, with CLB will be a few early tests. Pittsburgh in the challenge, and Butler in the Crossroads should let us know where we are at before the BIG rolls around. We still have a few games to fill in, and chances are there will be a few cupcakes. Regardless of the remaining teams, I like the schedule for this year. The trip to Canada, and the practices prior to playing 5 games on the road will be huge for CTC and Co. to figure out how we are going to play this season.
Very happy with what we know of the schedule so far. 5 really strong games. Now, as long as the other 8 are not all +300 teams, we should have a good schedule. We can have one or two, just not 7 or 8 like last year.

Massive improvement, although any movement all would have been better than this past year. The cupcake teams did not improve whatever he was hoping to improve neway, and driving to the games was not as it used to be, really not fun. Gimme UK, UL, UCLA, UF, and some more. Players like it, and so do the fans,...and so does the committee in March. Like the trip, too. Can't see how any of this can't not be of help. Please, lay off the cupcakes, I'd say cold turkey.
No school is ever going to lay off the cupcakes. Heck, you want a couple. If for no other reason that it allows you to have some real practices. If there are 1/2 a dozen good teams scheduled in the pre-season, I am fine with that. There are only 13 or so pre season games. So having 50% of those games against good competition is fine with me.
