Meet the Staff

Here's a little bit about your staff:

TERRY HUTCHENS joins as the publisher of the site after spending 22 years at the Indianapolis Star, the last 15 as the beat writer for IU football and basketball. Terry will serve as's beat writer for football and basketball and also focus on football recruiting. Terry is an Associated Press basketball voter. Five times in the last seven years, Terry has been recognized as Indiana's Sportswriter of the Year by the National Association of Sportscasters and Sportswriters. Terry also teaches a class in Sports Journalism at IU. He is the author of four books including Rising From The Ashes: The Return of Indiana University Basketball, which was published in 2012. In 2013, Terry completed the revision of the Indiana University Basketball Encyclopedia, originally written by Jason Hiner. Terry and his wife Susan have been married for 27 years. They have two sons: Bryan and Kevin.

JUSTIN ALBERS is the full-time basketball recruiting analyst for He will also do beat coverage for both football and basketball. Justin comes to after spending the last two years working with Alex Bozich at Inside the Hall where he covered IU basketball and recruiting. This is Justin's fifth year overall cover IU basketball. He has lived in Indiana most of his life, although he was born on the East Coast and is a die-hard fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers. He's the oldest of five boys, and his family currently resides in Markelville, Ind.

NOLAN BLAIR in an intern for this year and will handle primarily broadcast and video responsibilities but he will also doing some writing. Nolan is a senior at Indiana University majoring in journalism. He's from Carmel, Ind. He currently serves as Co-Sports Director for IUSTV, IU's student run television station. Nolan has worked in various capacities with ESPN, NBC Sports Network, and He has interned with WRTV, the ABC affiliate in Indianapolis and most recently with WLS, the ABC owned station in Chicago. After moving from Texas, Nolan has developed a genuine love for college basketball.

TONY ADRAGNA is an intern for this year and will be host the weekly Podcast. Tony is a recent Sports Communication graduate from Indiana University. He joins the staff after covering the Hoosiers as the managing editor of IUSportsCom for three years. He also had freelance roles with Action Sports TV and the Big Ten Network as a play-by-play announcer. Tony has followed IU athletics since birth.

JOE POPELY is an intern for this year and will be covering primarily football and basketball. Joe is a former beat reporter for IDS Sports, where he covered women's basketball and baseball. He was also twice a sports editor, the first time in the summer of 2012. He's a passionate broadcaster for WIUX sports and Big Ten Network Student U productions. He has hosted or co-hosted a show on WIUX for four semesters and two summers. He was also a producer for one semester.

WILL PADGETT comes to from the site B-Town Banners and will be mainly providing soccer coverage, as well as any other stories he can get his hands on. He is a senior at IU double majoring in theatre and telecommunications. He has put in significant time with WIUX, Indiana's student radio station, providing play-by-play for soccer, football, and men's basketball games, as well as co-hosting several sports shows. While he grew up in Illinois, he has been an avid Hoosier fan his entire life. Top Stories
