Indiana is going to get an up-close look at nearly all of its 2014 guard targets in the same weekend,
AllHoosiers.com has confirmed that both Isaiah Whitehead and James Blackmon Jr. will take unofficial visits to Bloomington this weekend. The Hoosiers already have Robert Johnson taking an official visit on Saturday and Quentin Snider visiting unofficially.
Malachi Richardson, a 2015 guard, is also taking an unofficial visit to campus this weekend.
Whitehead, the top-ranked shooting guard in the 2014 class, didn't hear from Indiana for the first time until the day after the Blackmon Jr. decommitment earlier this month. Whitehead will be on campus Sunday and Monday.
We previously reported that Whitehead will take official visits to at least Indiana, Minnesota and UCLA, and the IU visit will come first. Whitehead's school year starts soon and he wanted to get a look at Indiana's campus before then, which is why he chose to visit this weekend.
"He's doesn't have a leader right now," Whitehead's assistant high school coach, James Barrett, told AllHoosiers.com. "He is first going to visit the school and take everything one step at a time.
Blackmon Jr. will be on campus on Saturday, as will Louisville decommit Snider. Former Indiana guard Victor Oladipo, one of the program's best salesmen, is also in town this weekend for a camp.
We will have more on this story later.
