Following Saturday night's 1-0 loss to North Carolina in the final preseason tuneup for the 2013 season, Indiana coach Todd Yeagley talked briefly about his thoughts on the game.
Here's a transcript of what Yeagley had to say:
"Overall, I thought it was a pretty good night,'' Yeagley said. "We had periods of good play. I thought we started the game very well and then the second part of the first half I thought we lost a little bit of our shape and we weren't quite as sharp as we needed to be in our possession. We had to defend a little bit more than we like to.''
The game was scoreless in the first half before the Tar Heels got on board with a quick goal in the second half. Still, Yeagley seemed more pleased with the second half than the first.
"I thought in the second half we really started to show what we can do offensively and our defensive shape was much better,'' Yeagley said. "We limited a very good team to very few chances. Their best chances were off of giveaways which we need to address.
"The quality chances we created against a very good team, the edge that we played with as the game went on are all positive signs for this team. The result wasn't for us but there are some good things heading into the Classic.''
