Robert Johnson couldn't arrive in Bloomington until late Saturday because of a funeral he attended, so the 2014 guard will stay in town for an extra day.
Johnson, who is taking his first official visit, will stay on campus until 5:30 p.m. Monday to give him a second opportunity to participate in open gym with current Indiana players. Johnson participated in open gym on Sunday but didn't get to play with Isaiah Whitehead, who hadn't yet arrived for his unofficial visit.
Johnson's father, Robert Johnson Sr., told AllHoosiers.com that the visit has gone "very well" so far. Johnson has primarily been hosted by Indiana freshmen Troy Williams, Noah Vonleh and Stanford Robinson.
Williams' uncle, Boo Williams, is Johnson's AAU coach.
The fact that Johnson and his family are staying in town for another day is a good sign for Indiana. When asked if he thought his son would commit before leaving Bloomington on Monday, Johnson Sr. said:
"There's a possibility."
Boo Williams said he talked to Troy late Sunday night and was told the visit was going "unbelievably great." He said he wouldn't be surprised if Johnson committed before leaving Bloomington.
"Troy said they've been having a great time," Boo Williams told AllHoosiers.com. "They can't afford to let him get to that North Carolina visit because then you never know. They better not let him get there."
