Mangieri's stock continues on the rise

Nick Mangieri has elevated himself to the top of the depth chart at right end and will have big responsibilities today against Navy.

Indiana football coach Kevin Wilson has talked throughout preseason camp about the emergency of sophomore defensive end Nick Mangieri.

He started the season listed as No. 2 on the depth chart at right end behind redshirt sophomore Zack Shaw. Following his performance against Indiana State, however, Mangieri had moved to the top of the depth chart.

The 6-5, 262-pound defensive end from Peoria (Ill.) Dunlap was third on the team in tackles with five and led the Hoosiers with 1.5 sacks for 7 yards. staffer Nolan Blair caught up with Mangieri during availability this week.
