Okonoboh schedules official visit to Indiana

2014 center Goodluck Okonoboh will be in Bloomington next weekend. Could he be Indiana's first commit in 2014?

Goodluck Okonoboh, the top shot blocker in the 2014 class, will take his official visit to Indiana next Friday through Sunday, a source with knowledge of the situation told AllHoosiers.com.

Okonoboh cut his list to five schools on Aug. 20: Indiana, Duke, Florida, Ohio State and UNLV. Next weekend will be his first official visit, which is a good sign for Tom Crean and the Hoosiers.

A source told AllHoosiers.com that Okonoboh wasn't a candidate to attend next month's Hoosier Hysteria because he is scheduled to take the SAT that Saturday morning.

Okonoboh, 6-foot-9 and 205 pounds, is an elite defender but still has plenty of room to improve on the offensive end. He's been Indiana's top 2014 big man prospect for some time.

Here's Scout.com's player evaluation for Okonoboh, the fifth-ranked center in the 2014 class. He's regarded as a four-star player.

Okonoboh is likely the best shot blocker in the 2014 class. He's quick off his feet, has a long set of arms and has terrific timing. His presence in the paint changes the game on the defensive end, as he's active and a high level athlete. Okonoboh moves particularly well and runs the floor with ease. He made strides from his sophomore to junior season with his ability to finish. He still needs to develop a go-to move on the block.
