You know their statistics. You know all the obvious things there are to know about your favorite Indiana athletes. Now here's a quick look at a few quick things you may not know in our Five Questions segment.
Instead of a football Five Questions, we switch gears with today's segment and talk with IU men's soccer standout Dylan Lax from Columbus, Ind.
1. Who was your favorite athlete growing up and why?
Growing up I was a big Packers fan so it would have to be Brett Favre. He was a good leader and a great player. And in the thrill of the moment he was always able to come through. He was able to succeed in doing that.
2. What's your favorite place to eat in Bloomington and what do you like to eat there?
My favorite place to go is Yogi's. I usually get the bacon cheeseburger. But that place is great.
3. What's your favorite music or musical artist?
I'm a big folk fan so I really like Mumford and Sons, I love Bob Dylan, the David Brothers, Paper Kites. Groups like that. Partially my name Dylan came from Bob Dylan. So growing up I've always liked Bob Dylan.
4. What do you want to be when you grow?
I'm studying to become a physical therapist. I'm a senior school wise and a junior for soccer so I'll have one more semester next year. But I'm hoping to become a physical therapist.
5. Did you have any of a mentor or person of great influence that helped you growing up?
Growing up, I had a great opportunity and I was able to be the manager for the high school team that I eventually went on to play at. So growing up it was just all of the guys that played back then. I looked up to them. I also looked up to the head coach at the time David Green (Green was inducted into the Indiana Soccer Hall of Fame in 2011). I just always thought I wanted to be in their shoes so bad to play on that field and then one day play in college. p>
